The Baptist Manor is a non-profit, faith-based organization that has provided affordable, quality housing and personal care to senior citizens for the past 69 years. Under the sponsorship of area churches, and through the private support of caring neighbors, our unique complex has grown to become a 35-acre campus with multiple programs. The campus consists of five communities, four located on W. 13 Mile Rd. and the other on Drake Rd. both in Farmington Hills, MI. The residents residing at The Baptist Manor come from many cultural, ethnic backgrounds and income levels. We provide a much needed housing option for the significantly under-served/underprivileged low-income segment of the senior population residing in the Metropolitan Detroit Area.
The Baptist Manor offers housing to persons who are 62 years and older.
Our History...
March 15, 1954 marked an important milestone in the history of the "Detroit Baptist Home for the Aged." On that date, the Detroit Baptist Missionary Society elected board members and held their first meeting in the Farwell Building. The historical records state that the committee was reminded by passages from Proverbs 3:5 and 6. The committee moved forward with the plans to establish a Baptist Home for the Aged. The following is an excerpt from the files. --"If in all ways we acknowledge Him, He will direct our ways and path' of His latest Detroit Baptist Missionary Society's expression of mercy and Christ's love for his elder children who have the need for the sheltering arms of a Christian home."

The Baptist Manor, Fund Development Division, is offering the community-at-large an opportunity to help those who can not help themselves, by contributing to
the DBM Endowment Fund.
A variety of ways in which you can contribute (tax deductible) include:
The DBM Endowment Fund, established in 1986 enables us to continue to provide for the care of residents who have exhausted all financial resources and are in need of Assisted Living Services, provided through the Haworth Assisted Living Center. In keeping with the mission of the agency -

Duplex and Quadplexes
Betas:
2 bd, 2 bath, Laundry/Utility Room, Attached Garage, Patio, Central Air, Dishwasher, and Eat-In Kitchen.
1200 sq ft. Rent includes the Gas, Water/Sewage, and Heat. Tenant pays for Electricity. All Manor Enhanced Services are Available.
$1800 monthly.
Deltas:
1 or 2 bd with 1 bath. The square footage in the 1 bedroom equals 823 at $1200 monthly while the 2 bedroom allows for 936 square feet at $1400 monthly.
Both 1 and 2 bd units include: Laundry/Utility Room, Carport, Patio, Wall unit AC. The rent includes Gas, Water/Sewage, and Heat. Tenant pays for electricity. All Manor Enhanced Services are available.
The Alpha Building is a one story building. Alpha holds 101 units:
40 Studios at $800,
50 1-bd at $920, and
11 2-bd at $1030.

The Epsilon hold 102 units: 97 1-bedroom units and 5 2-bedroom units. Community Room, Laundry Facilities on both floors, 2 elevators, Library, Lounge, Court Yard.
All Units are subsidized through the Section 202/8 HUD program.
To qualify for this subsidy your annual income
as a single person can not exceed $50,150; two persons $57,300.
Tenants pay 30% of their monthly income. This includes heat and water. Residents pay electricity but receive an allowance toward bill.
All Manor Enhanced Services are offered at this location.
The Drake Building is located off campus, at 23200 Drake Rd., Farmington. Conveniently located near downtown Farmington and expressways. The Drake Building is between Grand River Ave. and Freedom Rd.
Drake hold 102 units: 97 1-bedroom units and 5 2-bedroom units. Community Room, Hair Salon, Laundry Facilities on both floors, 2 Elevators, Library, Chapel, Activity Room, Court Yard.

There are times when even the most independent senior could use a helping hand with some daily activities. For these times we recommend our Enhanced Services Program. Fees are based on the time involved and the nature of the service. Because these fees are determined by The Baptist Manor, it is our intent to deliver the best services at the most cost effective packages to our residents. We believe in giving our residents the choice to stay in their home as long as possible.
Alpha and Gamma Buildings have 10 meals included in the rent. Other meals may be ordered throughout the month and delivered to your unit.
Available in all units except the Drake Building location.
